Delete your account

You can leave JERUSA at any time. Here is exactly what happens and how to ask.

Delete your JERUSA account now

Use this page to request deletion of your JERUSA account and associated personal data. The fastest way is to sign in and delete it yourself — deletion is immediate.

Sign in and delete my account

We ask you to sign in only to confirm the account is yours, so nobody else can delete it. After signing in, open My profile and choose Delete my account. If you cannot sign in, use the request form below.

Delete your account inside the JERUSA app

Sign in to JERUSA, open Settings, scroll to Delete my JERUSA account, and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This is different from leaving a church: it removes your JERUSA sign-in entirely.

If you lead a church as Head Pastor, transfer that church to another leader or permanently close it first, so the church is never left without an owner.

Request deletion without signing in

Use this form to request permanent deletion of your JERUSA account if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.

  • The email address must be the one associated with your JERUSA account.
  • JERUSA may need to verify your request before processing it.
  • Your JERUSA sign-in, personal profile, and personal account data will be deleted according to the deletion policy below.
  • Church-owned records may remain with the church where applicable.

Prefer email? Write to privacy@djerusa.com from the email address on your JERUSA account with the subject "Delete my account", or reach us through the contact page.

What is deleted

Your login and password, your JERUSA profile (name, email, photo), your church memberships and any leadership roles, your notifications, and your device registrations for push notifications.

What may be kept, and why

Records a church owns stay with that church unless the church also deletes them — for example attendance history, a prayer request or a testimony you asked the church to keep, and community posts. These are no longer linked to your deleted login.

Billing and tax records are kept only for as long as the law requires. Backups are cycled out shortly after deletion.

If you are the Head Pastor or an administrator

Deleting a church removes every record belonging to it: people, prayer requests, testimonies, events, announcements, ministries, attendance and community posts. Only the Head Pastor can delete a church. Cancel the subscription first in Settings so no further billing occurs.

Timing

In-app deletion is immediate. Emailed requests are actioned within 30 days, and usually within one business day. Backups are cycled out shortly afterwards.
